If your Firsty eSIM is stuck at "Activating...", don’t worry—this is a common issue that can usually be fixed with a few simple steps. This guide will help you understand why this happens and what you can do to complete the activation process.
How to Fix an eSIM Stuck at Activating
Step 1: Check Your Location
If you installed your Firsty eSIM before traveling, you don’t need to worry—your eSIM should activate once you arrive in your destination country and connect to a supported network.
If you're already at your destination but the eSIM is still not working, proceed to the next steps.
Step 2: Turn Data Roaming OFF and ON
1⃣ Open Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).
2⃣ Tap your Firsty eSIM profile.
3⃣ Turn Data Roaming OFF, wait a few seconds, then turn it back ON.
💡 Firsty eSIMs require Data Roaming to be enabled to function properly.
Step 3: Toggle Airplane Mode ON and OFF
1⃣ Swipe down to access Control Center.
2⃣ Turn Airplane Mode ON and wait 10 seconds.
3⃣ Turn Airplane Mode OFF and check if your eSIM connects.
💡 This forces your phone to search for a network again.
Step 4: Restart Your Phone
1⃣ Turn off your phone completely.
2⃣ Wait for 30 seconds.
3⃣ Turn your phone back on and check if your eSIM is activated.
Step 5: Switch Networks Manually
If your eSIM is still stuck activating, try manually selecting a different network:
1⃣ Go to Settings > Cellular > Network Selection.
2⃣ Turn OFF Automatic and wait for available networks to load.
3⃣ Select a supported network from the list.
💡 If no networks appear, move to an area with better reception and try again.
Important: Do NOT Delete Your eSIM!
If your eSIM is stuck at activating, do not delete it, as Firsty eSIMs cannot be reinstalled once removed. Instead, follow the troubleshooting steps above or contact Firsty Support for help.
